The ministry of Christ is The Key officially began in 2001 but two years earlier, God began to move in my life in ways that would test my reliance on self, strengthen a dependence on God and affirm my need to focus on the most important things in my life. 

In 1999, I hit a spiritual bottom. At the time I felt emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually “bankrupt”. I tried everything in the “physical world” to cure my pain. Nothing worked. I was in the deepest hole that I had ever been in my entire life.

I started praying that God would help me. However, I still had my pain! I thought God would take it all away quickly. What HE had in mind, however, was a gradual recovery. I learned that pain was a source of strength if I Turned It Over to Him. I learned that God did have a plan for me if I surrendered to Him.

What happened next was a surprise. As I was driving one day, I stopped at a light, and I paused and prayed. I noticed that I had a lot of extra keys on my key chain. I took off some of the old keys and tossed them onto the passenger seat of my car. I watched the keys bounce off a small crucifix that I often held while meditating on the Passion of Christ. I then picked up the crucifix and a key, and I shouted “Christ Is The Key”! At that moment, I made a vow to God that “I would continue to share with others what HE was doing for me”.

Thousands of the Christ Is The Key chains have been shared so far. My prayer is that everyone who receives this Key will continue to share their own experience of how “Christ Is The Key” in their lives.
